The following supports are available to DDD consumers and DVRS consumers in obtaining/maintaining employment.
Pre- Placement Services
Pathways’ Pre-Placement program will assist you to choose, get and keep community based employment. Our Employment Specialist will meet with you to identify your career goals, review your work history and develop an employment plan that suits you best. We will also work with you and potential employers to make sure any accommodations you may need are covered before you start.
Placement Services
Once you accept an offer of employment, an Employment Specialist will help train you with specific job tasks and skills you may need to do as your position requires. Our goal is for you to do a great job in your work and to keep your job as long as possible. We want you to be a successful employee and that is what we are here for!
Long Term Follow Along Services
As you continue to work and become more confident and independent with your job, we will continue to provide continuous vocational support as needed. Your Employment Specialist Coach will still be in contact with you and your employer to make sure that things are going well with you and your job. If issues arise the employment specialist will provide assistance to you and your employer.
